About the Conference

Management Research Centre (MRC) Department of Management Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Indonesia seeks high quality research paper for the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research (ICBMR) that will be held in Bali-Indonesia on November 7-8, 2018.

The theme for the 12th International Conference on Business and Management Research ICBMR is “Rethinking Innovation and Human Behavior in Industry 4.0”. The term industry 4.0 refers to the latest trend related to automation and data exchange, especially in manufacturing technology. It includes cyber-physical system, Internet of things (IoT), cloud computing and cognitive computing. Industry 4.0 is often referred to as the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Industry 4.0 replaces traditional work algorithms by providing smarter equipment and manufacturing environments. Digitalization, electronics, automation and mobility will be implemented into systems and workflow management so as to improve productivity and quality. Manufacturing industry 4.0 will not just reduce the cost of human labor but also bring many more benefits including increased productivity, efficiency, quality, accuracy, reduced human error, centralized information, and the management of data flow that allows real time communication between various parties.

Prof. WONG Poh Kam (National University of Singapore)
Prof. WONG Poh Kam (National University of Singapore)
WONG Poh Kam is concurrently a Professor at the School of Business, as well as Director for NUS Entrepreneurship Centre. He has published in numerous international refereed journals on innovation policy, industrial and competitiveness policy and technology entrepreneurship, and has also consulted widely for international agencies such as the World Bank and Asian Development Bank, various government agencies in Singapore such as A*STAR, EDB and IDA, and many high tech firms in Asia.

He was a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at U.C. Berkeley, a visiting scholar at Stanford University, a senior visiting scholar at Oxford University, and a Pacific Leadership Fellow at UCSD.

Wimboh Santoso, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D * (Chairman of Board of Commisioner of The Indonesian's Financial Services Authority)
Wimboh Santoso was born on March 15th, 1957. He is one of Indonesian economist who currently serves as Commissioners of the Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority. Previously, he had worked for several prestigous institutions nationally and internationally.

He earns a bachelor degree in Economics from the Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta in 1983, Master of Science, Business Administration from University of Illinois in 1993, and Master of Financial Economics from the University of Loughborough in 1999. He succeeded in bringing his Ph. D in Banking Finance from Loughborough University in 1999.
His professional experience began with working at Bank Indonesia as Bank Auditor Staff in 1990 and has had a brilliant career with important roles. He earn a bachelor degree in Economics from the Universitas Sebelas Maret Surakarta in 1983, Master of Science, Business Administration from University of Illinois in 1993, and Master of Financial Economics from the University of Loughborough in 1999.
